  • How long does it last?
Your shading will last as long as it’s maintained. Cosmetic tattoo treatments are considered semi-permanent and will not wash off, however, they will fade over time and may need to be refreshed every 1-2 years. Frequency of sessions depends on a number of factors including: the pigment used (lighter colors fade faster), lifestyle (sweat, sun exposure) and if any chemical peels come into contact with treated areas. Please note that final results CAN NOT be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. We will re-evaluate how your skin has received the pigment at your second session and make any changes necessary. Multiple sessions are normal for cosmetic tattoo procedures, with each new procedure requiring a minimum of 2 visits.
  • Does it hurt?
A highly-effective, topical anesthetic cream is used for numbing before your service begins and throughout the procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable during the procedure. Clients have related the procedure with eyebrow threading, plucking multiple hairs at once, or a light scratching of the skin.
  • What's the healing process like?
Your semi-permanent makeup will appear darker and more intense than expected for the first few days. They will become dry and peel, before gradually lightening 30-50% during the complete healing process. Redness and swelling is minimal. Typically this process can take up to 14 days.
  • How long is the session?
Your initial session can take up to 2 hours depending on how much work needs to be done. The duration consists of consultation, numbing, brow mapping/shaping, shading, and after-care instructions.
  • Do I get to see the shape before?
Of course! Your artist will take their time to map out a beautiful shape for you and will let you “ok” the shape before they start. This moment is very important to go over anything that makes you uncomfortable as these are the moments right before the tattoo. It’s also very important for you to trust your artist, as they have been trained to know and understand what shape will work best based on different factors.
  • What about Botox?
Botox will interfere with the shaping of your brows so it is recommended to get Botox at least 30 days before your appointment or 2 weeks after.
  • Am I the right candidate for Powder Brows?
There are only a few instances where powder brows wouldn't be right for you. If you are pregnant, as a precaution we will not perform the service as their is a risk of infection. If you are a frequent smoker, your pigment may fade sooner. If you are iron deficient or Anemic, your pigment may fade sooner and bleeding/bruising may occur during and after the procedure. If you are currently going through chemotherapy, please wait at least 3 months post to get microblading done because like with any tattoo, there is a risk of infection If you have skin conditions, including but not limited to, psoraisis, eczema or severe acne near the brow area, you may be more likely to experience an adverse reaction. ***Please let us know of any health or skin conditions that you may be concerned about before your appointment so we can determine if this procedure is right for you. PLEASE NOTE: If you have had your eyebrows previously tattooed, we will need to do a consultation before booking. We cannot guarantee results for cases such as these. In some instances where the previous work is too dark, dense, discolored, or large, tattoo removal will be highly recommended before our services will be considered. Previously tattooed areas will almost always require additional sessions and will be charged accordingly. Some special cases may be considered. Please contact us with any further questions.
  • Is there any downtime?
With magic shading, there is no downtime or need to hide away after the treatments. Redness and swelling may happen but goes away within a few hours. Your microblading does appear darker in color during healing, but please remember, your first three days will be the darkest and it will begin to fade after that.
  • Are there any restrictions during healing?
It is best to keep your brows clean and dry. Aftercare instructions will be given to you at the time of service. Please reference the "aftercare" tab for further details on healing. The most important piece of advice you need to remember is not to touch your brows. Therefore: don’t touch, scratch, or rub them don’t wear makeup don’t pick scabs don’t sleep on your face avoid physical activities that cause excessive sweating avoid situations where your brows will be exposed to dust and dirt avoid saunas and swimming pools as well as long showers avoid sun exposure and tanning avoid having facial treatment until the brows are completely healed
  • Will I need a touch up?
Yes, a touch up is required 6-8 weeks after the initial visit. Powder brows is usually a multiple session process. Certain areas may not pick up during the first session and will need to be refilled. Pigment color may need to be adjusted, thickness, etc. Your touch-up session is when we perfect the brow to ensure it’s quality for the entire year.
  • My brows are done healing but are patchy - is this normal?
Yes, once the color boost occurs, your brows are healed and may have a few areas where the color did not retain. We will touch them up at your 6-8 week visit.
  • It's been a few days but my brows are disappearing?
Don't worry, it is common on most procedures as new skin generates to heal. Once fully healed the color will return and we will do a follow up 6-8 weeks for your touch up.
  • How long does it take to heal?
Average healing time takes 10-14 days. The tattooed hair strokes will be covered with new skin, giving the appearance that your tattoo has disappeared. Don't worry it hasn't! In the following weeks you will get a color boost as your newly generated skin settles. 6-8 weeks are required to pass before we consider the process complete. It is important not to pick at any scabbing.
  • What are pigments made of?
Cosmetic tattoo pigments vary depending on the brand but are generally formulated with iron oxide, an ingredient safe on skin. All pigment suppliers are required to list their ingredients on their labels if you’re concerned about allergies (rare). Keep in mind that people can develop allergies to anything, anytime. All pigments are vegan and cruelty free.

There are only a few instances where microblading wouldn't be right for you. If you are pregnant, as a precaution we will not perform the service as their is a risk of infection. If you have extremely oily skin, the hair stroke eyebrow technique may not work very well for you. The constant production of oil will cause the hair strokes to heal with a diffused, softer look. Your end result will look more powdered than you would expect. We recommend powder brows for extremely oily skin. If you have little to no existing hair or coarse hair, your tattoo will appear more 2-dimensional than those clients who have more hair, or naturally finer hair.
