PWDE

Also known as the Ombre’ technique, this method is done using a tattoo machine, which is softer and great for those with sensitive skin and/or previous tattoo work. It is performed using the ‘dotting’ technique for a misty, powdery effect on the client’s brows. Magic shading is great for ALL clients including those with no hair or a full brow just needing more definition. It also works great for ALL skin types, including those with oily skin. Results mimic the effect you achieve when using a brow pencil or powder. This provides a more full, defined look than microblading. Powder brows are customizable to each client, depending on whether you prefer a more soft or defined look

FREQUENTLY ASKED

HOW LONG DOES POWDER BROW/MAGIC SHADING LAST?

Your shading will last as long as it’s maintained. Cosmetic tattoo treatments are considered semi-permanent and will not wash off, however, they will fade over time and may need to be refreshed every 1-2 years. Frequency of sessions depends on a number of factors including: the pigment used (lighter colors fade faster), lifestyle (sweat, sun exposure) and if any chemical peels come into contact with treated areas. Please note that final results CAN NOT be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. We will re-evaluate how your skin has received the pigment at your second session and make any changes necessary. Multiple sessions are normal for cosmetic tattoo procedures, with each new procedure requiring a minimum of 2 visits.

DOES IT HURT?

A highly-effective, topical anesthetic cream is used for numbing before your service begins and throughout the procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable during the procedure. Clients have related the procedure with eyebrow threading, plucking multiple hairs at once, or a light scratching of the skin.

DAY 1

After the procedure, gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 30 minutes for the first 5 hours. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluids.

DAY 1-7

Wash daily to remove bacteria, build up of product, oils & dead skin.  Gently wash your eyebrows each morning & night with water & antibacterial soap provided. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows. Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds & rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue or towel. Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. NEVER put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.

DAY 8-14

Allow brows to heal naturally. DO NOT use any products. DO NOT get brows wet. Follow all aftercare do's and dont's including, no direct sun, no sweating, no picking, no makeup or other products. Trust the process and refer to your aftercare cards if you are ever questioning a feeling or stage of healing.

  • Use a fresh pillowcase

  • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color

  • No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 3 weeks

  • Avoid any sweat and exercise for duration of healing process.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors.

  • Avoid heavy sweating and long hot showers for the first 14 days.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 14 days

  • Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs for the first 14 days

  • Avoid topical makeup including sunscreen on the area

  • DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area.
